Knowing how to scan and obtaining both optimal and diagnostic views is critical to being able to make a correct diagnosis and avoid missing significant fetal abnormalities. While physicians and sonographers are able to acquire some of this knowledge as part of their respective training programs, hands on time with expert instruction remains elusive outside of dedicated conferences. Nuance in ultrasound is hard to impart in a classroom setting, and is most often acquired as a legacy skill from expert sonologists. Dr Solomon is a recognized national and international expert in fetal echocardiography, obstetric sonography and 3-4D imaging. She has practiced prenatal diagnosis exclusively for over 15 years, many of those as director of a large fetal diagnostic unit. She and her staff are available to conduct customized on-site hands-on courses that address your specific practice needs.

Course customization is available in the form of both didactic lecture topics as well as the type of scanning skills you and your staff would like to develop. Options range from simple image optimization to advanced fetal echocardiography and functional cardiac assessment. Instruction takes place in your center with your equipment, maximizing your ability to reproduce these skills easily once formal teaching has concluded. Assistance with protocol creation and machine settings is also available.

Courses are provided as either 3- or 5- day on-site teaching opportunities, with 3-day courses occurring as Friday through Sunday unless otherwise agreed upon. SDMS continuing education credits are available by advance arrangement for your participating sonographers.
